Murdoch’s Fox News Is the Outlier

Source: Pew Research Center.

Recently, the Obama Administration has taken some flack over its criticism of Fox News. Former Bush White House press secretary Dana Perino, who now works for Fox, said such treatment of the press was “un-American” even though she did the same thing a few years ago to NBC, as documented here.

The Pew Research Center study of American perceptions of the major news organizations shown in the above graph strongly suggests Fox News is indeed different from the rest.

Part of the media empire of right-wing Austalian billionaire Rupert Murdoch, Fox News has a lot of gall accusing anybody of being “un-American.” But, with the kind of money and global media power Murdoch has, he can say about anything and has all the slickest propaganda resources necessary to convince a lot of people.

Make no mistake, Murdoch is a major global power. And nobody elected him.
